the one… the only… the much anticipated…

Thank you Mr. Jeffers for sharing this with the masses.

1 box butter yellow cake mix

2 eggs, room temperature

½ cup butter melted (1 stick)

1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened (take out of fridge 1 hour before cooking)

2 eggs, room temperature

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar

1/2 cup butter melted (1 stick)

1 bag of double stuff Oreos, crushed

Crush half of the Oreos first by placing in a sealed Ziploc bag. Pieces shouldn’t be huge but also not fine crumbles. Repeat for 2nd half when you are ready to make the topping.

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9×13 pan with PAM. In a bowl blend the cake mix, 2 eggs and melted butter. Mix well. Pat into the bottom of the 9×13 pan (it will be thick, not like a typical cake batter). Layer one half bag of Oreos and press them lightly into cake mix. Using an electric mixer beat the cream cheese until smooth; add the eggs and vanilla. Pour in the powdered sugar and beat well. Slowly add the melted butter and mix well. Pour topping over the dough, and spread evenly. Layer second half of Oreos on top and lightly pat them down. Bake 40-50 minutes until top is lightly golden.
